If the Leafs decide to tank, which firing Carlyle kinda seems like they'll be doing, they could get a fantastic building block for the future.

Nor is anyone. I have no idea how many wins Tyler Bozak provides or, more likely, doesn't provide. But we can examine the proficiency at which he brings useful skills to the table. And I'm not sure I see where you're going with the Benn comment. Do you mean linemates influence Corsi? Sure, but like Nox said, there's still some solid info in there, and Corsi Relative, which is what I spoke of, compares him to his teammates.

Before we all start comparing Griffey Jr to Bonds and start tearing him apart, let's take a minute to realize how awesome Griffey Jr was.

The entire ideal of hockey analytics is basically that if you get more shots than your opponent you'll do well and Bozak doesn't do that.

Yeah, if he was on a more reasonable contract he'd be a great fit, but I don't think he's worth using our cap room on.

This team takes a lot of long iso shots, which fits well for a player like that, in all fairness. Contract is baaad tho.
