Sort of, Mets had a legitimate reason, he fell off his horse and mashed his ankle while he was recovering from dual heel surgeries, while on the IR, lol. They restructured his deal in agreement. Yeah, the extra roster spot opens up plenty options as Bobthe4th suggested you can move him through 1B/DH/CF, if Alford has a good Spring I could see him making this team to use that flexibility too.
