the rockies have been slept on this year, they have a good lineup and this pitcher has a family to feed, he needs this win more than the jays need a playoff spot.
The dodgers and braves lineups have had their struggles. Both teams have been hot lately while jays struggling so I think it seems more daunting than it would be right now.
Chapman blew a save against the diamondbacks a week ago when I was watching the game, they sent him back out the next inning and he held it scoreless. He has given up a run in 4 of his last 5 appearances with the rangers. He was pretty good all of July and a lot of august though.
from what I heard he was trying to hit doubles. really hope him or mookie gets the MVP. don't care about steals with the bigger bag, stupid mittens, clock and new pickoff rules
not difficult, not easy. Easy is what you say when you are in orioles position. and obviously odds are 50 percent, that hasn't changed since the first day of the season, make it or don't, 50 50 as they say.
Just looking at the rangers and Astros schedule there are lots of scenarios that get us back in a spot in the next couple weeks. But its gotten to the point where now just winning won't be enough, we need the rangers/mariners/astros to have some bad luck as they are pretty much in a 3 way tie with lots of games between each other still.
good game good tries all around. It isn't easy to hit a 90 mph baseball that is curving all over the place, I don't blame the guys. We didn't have a good chance in the playoffs anyway.
they did 6 points yesterday and the Indians game. Thats football like scores. But I don't expect everyone to not be an idiot. Jays offence has been above league average those 2 games.
astros have a series against rangers and a series against mariners. Mariners have 7 against Texas, no reason they cant take 6/7 with ease and knock those bigot f***s out of the wildcard. No reason the jays should need to play more than 500 baseball like they have been.
