  1. Hopefully this Berrios shows up for the next start too. He's always been capable of pitching a great game occasionally he's just had zero consistency. Next start is at Detroit so it's certainly set up nicely for him
  2. So that now gives him 53 2/3 ip 44 Ks, not exactly dominant. Sure this is a dramatic improvement over last game but even at that 4 ip 2 ER isn't great. He'll need several good starts to get that ERA and WHIP down to acceptable numbers
  3. For a guy who hits plenty of solo homers he does nothing but hit into DPs when he's up with guys on the bases
  4. No interest in Smith pretty much every team has someone outperforming him already at C. I pulled the trigger on it today after another 0 for from Smith last night and Kirk is 2 for 2 with a HR today I love it!
  5. Ever noticed how when it's a contract year 90 % of these guys magically put up way better numbers then you're ever going to see out of them again? Semien and Baez are perfect examples, Bryant an even better one the guy looked washed up his lastr couple years then contract year hits a switch and does enough to earn the big contract and now he can go back to being washed up again. Guaranteed contracts are a huge detriment to the game, once you foolishly sign any of these guys for 7-10 years they can hit .100 the rest of their careers and your choice is to let them make your team worse playing every day or cut them and have to pay hundreds of millions for them to sit home. Look what Judge is doing right now, in a contract year, that's no coincidence. When he gets an 8 year 400 mil. contract after this season he'll be back to the oft injured 25-30 HR guy he's been the past few seasons after his monster rookie year.
  6. I've been waiting for that, warms my heart. I liked him as a player 30 years ago couldn't stand him as a manager
  7. Hilarious, most of these GMs are clueless. Your top tier fantasy baseball champions could run a team better than most of these guys. That Baez signing in Detroit may be even worse than Semien. Kris Bryant is really lighting it up at Coors Field too
  8. These 2 scrubs had 6 HRs combined coming into tonight and have hit 4 ... WTF!
  9. Well the final score can't obviously be 3 for the Twins (great game Kikuchi), but um how was that for calling the homers?
  10. They should send this guy down to Triple AAA til he pulls his head out of his ass, seriously he's been the worst hitter in baseball over the past month. He hit 11 HRs in the first 4-5 weeks of the season then just became utter garbage something isn't right there
  11. Jays 6-3, they can't win a game without a save being needed! Leadoff Springer Dinger in the bottom of the 1st and Vlad hits one for the second time in 3 games
  12. Jansen up to 5th and no Zimmer, to what do we owe this common sense?
  13. lol but anyone and their brother who wants to illegally cross the border can do whatever they like with no rules or restrictions. What a country huh?
  14. Have you seen his stats over the past month? Have some of those girls from the College softball World Series pitch to him he'll do nothing. He'll also probably sit out 2 of the 3 games for "maintenance" anyway, at least one for sure.
  15. I'm trying to resist the urge to drop Will Smith for Kirk because he's supposed to be the 2nd or 3rd best hitting catcher in MLB but we're two months in and he's sucked and it's getting really old. Would you do it?
  16. How do these guys stay in the league? No matter how bad some of them are someone just keeps signing them for a decade
  17. QS is not a category in my league just W's, WHIP, ERA and K's. A 3.60 ERA in my league is 7th place out of 12 teams. Mine is 2.99 and I'm 3rd of 12 but had these two occurrences not happened the past 2 days I'd be leading the league in ERA. Not to mention the extra 2 hits Verlander gave up to get that last out and the extra 3 hits charged to Manoah for his last 2 outs blew up my WHIP too. I cringe every time I have a SP with a great game through 6-7 innings and they get sent out for another inning because this is how it turns out more often than not, at least for me.
  18. Not so much advice as venting about the horrible luck I have with any fantasy sports game. I have Verlander who has a no hitter through 6 2/3 and somehow turns into 7ip 3 er and no W. I have Manoah who has no runs through 7 2/3 and somehow turns it into 7 2/3 ip 3 ER. The difference of 0.00 team ERA and 3.60 ERA because each guy couldn't get 1 more out.
  19. Manoah is certainly a frontrunner as well
  20. Ohtani doesn't have to worry about being MVP this year. Might as well just hand the Cy Young to Nestor Cortes right now too, amazing that the Yankees brought this guy up a couple years ago to be a middle reliever with absolutely no fanfare as a top prospect and now he's their best starter and hardly ever gives up a run.
  21. This guy Ham Burger has really been a rally killer in their lineup the past 2 nights
  22. I am soooooooo tired of watching Bo whiff
