I don't understand why people keep saying this. There's tonnes of money coming off the books next year & following years. They made hundreds of millions of dollars during the playoff run. There's literally no reason the can't afford Bo, Tucker, SP 1 & 2 & a couple of relievers. It's not like they won't keep making money by going to the playoffs. FA class is pretty ass next year so load up this year, Add a reliever or two next year if needed.

Probably not with the Dodgers, NYY & Red Sox competing for him too. Seems like a lot to give up for a year given that Boras will make sure he tests the market. I'd rather they add to that, a lot I know, but make a run at trading for Skenes.

Gotta say I'm surprised at such great news. I think it speaks to the culture of the organization as a whole. Bassit mentioned in the post game it was the best organization he's played in including the job the FO did making the wives gel together. It's taken awhile but it looks like the FO is committed to building something really special here.

🙋♀️ I was asked by coworkers & friends repeatedly when the season started if we'd make the WC. I told them all that we'd win the division & make the WS. Figured we'd take the division based on the weaknesses on the rest of the teams in the ALE. I however did not expect them to handle the Dodgers this handily. I was on the fence about winning the WS if we faced the Dodgers. I think we'll win it all Saturday.
