I agree. Even Clayton Kershaw referred to Greinke and Ryu as different breeds ( who got great commands rather than hard throw fireballers ). Following gives a good demonstration on style of Ryu's pitching:

Here are the aces Ryu has dueled against and beat this year alone: Madison Bumgarner, Zach Greinke, Max Fried, Chris Archer, Stephen Strasburg and David Price. Max Sherzer was gonna pitch against Ryu but he chickened out at the last minute. Anibal Sanchez got crushed that day instead. Ryu also pitched against DeGrom and they both pitched outstanding and was a tie.
