Under regular rules, the Habs dont even make the playoffs the last two years. Suzuki, Caufield, Kotkaniemi, Romanov are good players. So them improving will help Montreals chances, but at best they have an outside chance at making the wild card. The Leafs who are a much better regular season team will probably have a hard time making it in the playoffs next year.
