  1. This year (and probably last year) I agree with you on. But in 2015 and 2016 he couldve made some FA moves, and yet he didnt The guy is a troll. He's been following me around since I joined last month. I guess there's nothing else to do up there in hickville
  2. Yes I did. Which trailer park in Wasaga beach should I mail it too??
  3. Exactly. Last 19 years have shown Rogers to be reluctant to spend $$$ on top FA's. Unless we get a new owner I dont think that will change. It sucks because Jays are a big market team who could compete with Dodgers, Yankees, Sox.....etc if they wanted to
  4. And what makes you think that?? Of course age is important, even for closers. Every pitcher only has so many pitches in their arm before they start to lose velocity
  5. David Price was the same until he redeemed himself in 2018 world series. Past performance isnt always indicative of future performance
  6. Performance wise I'd say thats true, but Stros got a lightly better deal in that Osuna is 24 and Giles is 28
  7. Ryan Tepera underwent elbow surgery on the elbow of his pitching arm
  8. They have an off-day tomorrow as well
  9. Of course our blooping hits dont drop
  10. Even routine popups are an adventure in this "stadium"
  11. 111mph EV on Vlad double
  12. Pitch looked 2 or 3 inches inside when it crossed the plate
  13. 4 straight hits off the 2018 Cy Young winner
  14. Here is the sad part, the Blue Jays are a big market team, they have an entire country of 35 million people behind them. They just arent spending like a big market team, at least not under Rogers over the last 19 years
  15. I actually somewhat agree with you, maybe right now is not the time to spend large on FA's. But I have serious doubts whether Shapiro will spend big when the time is right in the next few years (assuming the rebuild goes well)
  16. Those stats are misleading because it was one inning against NYC where he gave up 3 runs. Throughout the rest of the playoffs his record was excellent: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/priceda01.shtml 3.38 ERA against Houston, and when it really counted he was Mr. Clutch, 2-0 against Dodgers with an ERA of 1.98. If you dont think that was a major contributor in the BoSox win the WS then you are kidding yourself
  17. By the way, Jays payroll is 22 out of 30: https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/ Does that look the spending of a big market team to you guys??
  18. No, but it sure didnt hurt. Anyways, look at the product the Jays have on the field right now?? We have a horrible team! Do you see any high priced free agents Shaprio/Atkins signed over the last 4 years?? Do you think they will sign any in the next few years?? (assuming they still have a job)
  19. Didnt Price also win the world series the next year with Sox, and wasnt he also one of the best pitchers throughout the playoffs?? (if not the best)
  20. And its a very poorly made point. Jays indeed attracted the best free agents in the 1990's, but that was because the owner at the time was prepared to spend the $$$. Rogers has been much less inclined to spend the money in the last 19 years, thats just a fact Why so mad??? You cant handle it if someone has a different opinion than yours??
  21. I disagree. We couldve had a contender going into 2016, 2017 and 2018 if we kept him. Jays didnt build on their 2015 success because they are cheap
  22. Rumours eh?? Thats not true at all. Even the commentators were saying Price was a rental, that means everyone knew he was on his way out (well before he even threw his first pitch in Toronto)
