Galvis I agree with. I dont think this organization is itchy to bring up bichette as much as people think. He is doing fine at AAA, but they would rather keep him down for another 2.5 months and get an extra year. Just my impression, I could be wrong.

Its not anything, we need value. We have enough fillers and Mckinney type. He provides more value as a short term piece in Toronto.

We aren;t going to get much for Sogard, instead of getting some useless piece i rather sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal to see if he can continue this and become a good utility part time piece. Useless long shot prospect like we got for Pearce, whats the point.

I hope the optimism in this thread is justified. I would hate to see us get a less than optimum return after which this forum will divide into two buckets Those that will call out Atkins Or The apologist who have already started the Atkins defence campaign (I.e. Stroman has bad charachter, Giles was hurt, This is the best deal we could have made, Atkins is unlucky on when he is selling. Lets see what happens. I hope Atkins does well, I want him to. However I have no confidence in his abilities. Unfortunately.

Waiting too long to deal now too much to do at the deadline again. Atkins just holds on to his cards way too long

Nothing has gone right for him since his signing with Scott Boras, and his fight with Stroman.

LGJ was struggling, he went back, and now he is having a great year. A few weeks in the minors can help Vlad get his timing right, being up here and grounding out 5 times a game is not helping him.
