Through Miggy and Verlander they had a sustained run of four straight division titles, and two world series appearances. They didn't win one, but we gave up a lot more for a lot less than they have.

Likely, but sometimes prospects surprise. Anyways Smoak wont be part of this core, he is affordable, if we can get a future value add, we should look at it.

Mariners are particularly weak in the first base area, I wonder if they would be willing to do a deal for Smoak for a prospect, and we can see what Tellez is.
