    Yeah, but that's what it is, I think. I can see it making sense if the pitcher repeatedly throws to first with Barry Bonds at the plate. But, with 2 out, and Pillar at the plate, it's kind of funny.

    Why the hell would Gibbons do this? I get that Goins can't just sit there indefinitely; he needs to play from time to time. But, Travis is this team's starting 2B, and it's awfully weird to give him a day off after only 5 games back. Let him play, and sit Barney for a game. Maybe Goins is 4/11, and Barney is batting .500 vs Nova or something dumb like that.
