  1. Hearing about Estrada's stiff back makes me nervous. For those who know, is this a common thing for pitchers coming off of a long run into the post-season?
  2. Google "Jose Bautista Training" . There's a ton of stuff out there on him/it.
  3. Sorry, don't know what "clutch score" is. All I do know is that if you put him in a room with 24 other teams they'll start at the 150Mil mark. So either 24 other teams are crazy or he's worth it. I go with option 2, -4 "clutch score", whatever that is, or not.
  4. One of the reasons I'm all for this is that the numbers actually back up that he is a) ONE OF if not THE best clutch hitter in the AL and may stay healthy for at last 4 to 5 years with his INSANE training. If it was anyone else, I'd be like nope nope and more nope. But after the last 5 years and how he's trending as a late bloomer player? Pay the man the money.
  5. He's worth it. Pay the man.
  6. Give Blair a pass this time. I think I may have misquoted/misunderstood him.
  7. LOL. Is it bad that I actually enjoy his show? Honestly, I may have misheard him or misread what he was trying to say, so, actually, ignore what I said Honestly, I was never a fan of the Revere move. From what I've heard there has been a collective sigh of relief from Jays fans over the falling apart of this Bruce deal. Either way, the moves these guys have made have really got me and a lot of other people scratching their heads. Am I glad that, for the first time in all my years as a Jays fan, we actually have depth of pitching including the Bullpen? Yes. Do I like the moves they made to have it happen? Nope.
  8. So, I'm really concerned. Blair on Fan590 made the inference at the beginning of his show that they may have made the Revere move with the reality of not being able to sign Bautista and so moving him to get some pitching and then using the freed $$ to use to fill the OF spot with someone like Bruce for a year when Bautista walks and then get someone else a year later when the free-agency pool is better in 2017.... only to have their master plan implode when the deal for Bruce falls apart. IF --and I say IF -- that is true: We may have a very bad management team at the helm now. I really hope it's just blind speculation, but wow, if it's true, the Jays are in real trouble in these guys' hands. Giving up Revere was bad enough. But bringing in Bruce whose numbers are, well, not that hot to say the least? It's really concerning. It may be all spec and nothing to it (I hope so) but, yes, not a fan of these guys right now.
  9. Hello all! New to the Forum and will be watching a ton of Jays this year! Glad to see Spring Training starting!
