I'm a fan of this move, Leafs were probably going to draft a goalie with 30 or 31 anyways. Hopefully Freddy keeps up the good play.

I don't think Marner is being developed as a centre anymore. Pretty sure he was winger most of the year in London. Marner is probably on the team next year as he's outgrown the OHL imo.

Sign Stamkos, move him to wing, start season with Kadri at 1C, Nylander 2C, Matthews 3C, Gauthier or Holland as 4C.

I'm hoping Vesey will pick the Leafs over the Bruins. He'd be an amazing addition as well.

If the draft were last year he would have been in competition with Eichel for #2 after McDavid. He's frequently been compared to Toews and Kopitar.

I highly doubt Arizona would deal OEL, I remember reading articles that he wouldn't be on the table in a Matthews trade. I am hoping Stamkos comes to Toronto, though.

I agree with that. There will be lots of eyes on Matthews and Laine at the WC.

Edmonton would still take Matthews and trade RNH for D help.
