If Gardiner wasn’t on the Leafs other fans would be salivating at the chance of signing him to a contract this July. He’s an offensive d-man that moves the puck well which is a plus in today’s NHL.

The agent’s reference was to being lowballed in the summer apparently. It’s not like the Leafs just sent him a crappy offer, so the timing of his comments are ridiculous. They proved they’re willing to wait out the agent to get a deal they are comfortable with. I doubt a team is going to pony up four 1st round picks with an offer sheet over 10M AAV.

Ya I’m not 100% sure. Says his cap hit is 6.25 million. If they move him and Zaitsev in the offseason that would be nice.

Marleau will be on his last year of 6M too. Kapanen will be an offer sheet target as I doubt Marner would sign one.
