  1. I've made a total of 4 threads since I joined
  2. If you bat Navarro as a DH you need a catcher on the bench...Delabar is a best guess based on our options....Goins, sure laugh at me, but this ones on AA
  3. AA's negotiated increase in his food budget will take up our remaining payroll flexibility. Roster is set for the year, perhaps with some financial flexibility to take on salary if were still in this thing... Rotation: 1. Stroman 2. Dickey 3. Hutchison 4. Buherle 5. Norris Fighting: Estrada but I don't think they realistically see him as a starting candidate anymore, rotation set! Bullpen: 1. C - Sanchez 2. SU - Cecil 3. SU - Loup 4. Redmond 5. Estrada 6. Delabar Fighting for the last spot: Drabek, Lopez, Rassmussen, Jenkins Starting 9 1. Reyes 2. Martin 3. Bautista 4. Donaldson 5. Eddie 6. Saunders 7. Navaro 8. Goins 9. Pompey Bench: 1. Smoak 2. Villencia 3. Thole 4. Izturis 5. Pillar Fighting: If they use Navaro in a DH role they have to have Thole on the roster: Tollison vs Goins
  4. With his inconsistency I bet he would put up Santos type numbers out of the pen
  5. When Navaro asked to be traded didn't AA promise he could get regular at bats between catching and DH? Smoak signed for nothing with us to and came out saying that he signed with TOR for less bc he was promised significant playing time.......AA's always tried to keep his word, both situations can't happen with both these guys on the team....I want to keep both, but Id rather have Navaro, seems like one must go
  6. Whatever happened to Pat Borders anyway, the guy just kind of went MIA
  7. it amazes me that he's still here...I never understood it, just accepted it
  8. sorry bro, I'm lost on Sundays without football...
  9. Previous years: 2014 - Rasmus 2013 - JP 2012 - Farrel
  10. yes! its fun to talk baseball
  11. I think you can make an argument that any team outside the Yankees could have the best rotation in the east, its filled with young high upside guys with tons of depth.
  12. If that's the case it speaks louder about our current options
  13. Travis doesn't have a realistic shot at making the team this year though, I think its wishful thinking
  14. I've never been a fan of Kawasaki, but are we better off sticking him at 2B all year? He doesn't offer much upside, but he battles through AB's and provides average D, whereas Goins is a glove and a zero bat. Izturis probably doesn't provide any defensive or offensive value this year.
  15. The only way to get creative with payroll is to trade Dickey or Buherle with $10M
