    I want the Cubs to win this one. It will force Boston to dig deeper. Might have to trade a ton of prospects

    . Navarro has little value at 5 mil but I guess if the Jays eat enough salary he might bring a decent enough reliever. I'm not setting my hopes very high.

    Exactly. Bull pens are so unpredictable but I doubt anyone is underestimating Holland or for that matter KC,s BP. The reason Holland, Clippard and Chapman are all available is because they are valuable but also very expensive. They have priced themselves off their teams. I and most fans would love to have any of them . Most I think are like me and not willing to give up a huge asset for them. If they are a salary dump like Jim Johnson was then I'll gladly give them Goins but I'm not giving up a valuable asset for 2 very pricey years of control. Roll the f***ing dice on a couple or three and hope you don't wind up with a tigers type BP

    No f***ing kidding AA. Since the jays are short 3 or 4 pitchers as it is dealing more would be just stupid. I suspect the Jays will miss Happ more than most think. Sanchez more than likely is a reliever and Norris would be expected to make a huge jump. Good talent being rushed too fast. Estrada if he gets 30 starts might set a record for most HRs allowed. I would have much rather kept Happ signed Aoki And DFAd Estrada.

    I really like all the updates but s*** I'm not getting any work done. I'll have to giver of the boss will be pissed. I need to turn this off for the afternoon.

    Thought I read somewhere that Holland is expected to get 9.3 in Arb. This year. Trading an asset for a couple of very,very expensive years of a closer seems wrong to me. He'll every one likes Holland but do they like him 9 mil worth.

    Building bull pens are almost as big a crap shoot as the draft. Does Neshek have another career year in him? Does Gregerson finally break down? How does a Mariano Rivera manage to be so consistent and a Jim Johnson so bi polar. How do the Tigers keep screwing it up? War thinks little of bull pens but ask Tiger fans how important they feel BP,s can be. Who is the next Pat Neshek? Best scenario I see is build your own out of failed starters but I see little hope in the Drabeks we have. Only thing I hope for is AA to get lucky and Delabar to come back strong.

    Every team in baseball wants starters like Lester but damn few would give him 150 mil. And Stroman projects to give as many wins as Shields. I think we need a starter but McCarthy type seems best. Jays need a couple of BP pieces no doubt but man the reliever market is crazy. Seems like a 0.5 war reliever wants 5 or 6 million. I just don't want to wind up like the Tigers the last two years

    Meh, Most will be traded by 2016 . Good thing the Jays draft decently. Lol at the article,s comment about their young and talented bull pen . All they have is Cecil and Loup. Guy has no clue if he thinks the BP is young and talented.

    BA did the A,s top ten Barreto number two, Graveman number six and Nolin number seven. The Jays have traded away a lot of talent in the last few years that rank high on others boards.

    I really don't like the idea of Estrada as the 5 th starter so while it doesn't seem likely I hope Norris or even Sanchez grabs that spot in ST. Right now I think we need 3 pitchers. A starter and at least two relievers

    A,s top ten prospects from Baseball America. Barrett 2nd, Graveman 6th, Nolin 7th. Wow A,s system was bad.

    Everyone talks about getting an ace for the playoffs but this team isn't going to the playoffs with that bull pen. Add to that if there is only 20 mil to spend no ace will sign for that. Shields is not an ace. Get at least two decent relievers and save the trade chips for the deadline. Then if there is money to spend get an upgrade on Estrada. Do not trade Norris or Sanchez

    Medlen isn't expected to pitch till June or July. Neshek is expected to get 5 mil per. Have no idea what Crain,s health is. But I would sign all those guys

    Pitching. I would hate to have built this lineup only to have a bull pen collapse like the Tigers last year. I don't expect to get a high end starter that we need but a 4/5 is needed and Christ our BP is weak. Free agents too. Save the trade pieces for some deadline upgrades

    I think AA will concentrate on the pitching now. I see the next addition as a bull pen piece.relievers are getting paid a ton now it seems. I liked Hochevar but Christ he got 5 mil. And may not be ready till May? June? If Sanchez starts we need 3 BP arms and nothing excites me in the rule 5 draft

    I read where a lot of the Jays brain trust agree with you. I just think that the urge to put him in the pen to strengthen what right now looks like the weakest link will be too great. They need 3 pen Arms. Just like Texas did with Feliz and Cincy did to Chapman. I would prefer to have him in AAA starting cause we will need starters for sure next year

    Daniels has said a catcher and starter is his main focus for the off season but do they have a reliever worth taking?

    Add Pat Neshek to that list and it would be a perfect off season. Well Miller would make it perfect but we can't win them all. Question? Can Navarro net the Jays a good reliever and who would be trade targets

    Jays keep getting better for less money. I think the front office went into this offseason with the idea of improving the defense and getting healthier players. The defense with Smoak, Martin, Saunders, and Donaldson will be greatly improved and only Saunders has been injury prone. Should still be around 17 mil to spend. Lariano, Neshek,and trade Navarro for a decent reliever. Do something like that and I can live with the hole at 2nd till Travis is ready.

    Now go get a starter and a couple of bull pen arms. Unless they see something I don't in Estrada we need a starter. Course that offense may score so many runs it won't matter if Estrada gives Up a home run every start. What an offseason so far.

    Only one that surprises me is Smoak. His defence and road splits gave me some hope. EE just isn't very good defensively

    129 mil. More money than I thought. Need to trade Navarro for a decent reliever and free up some cash. Question Is Estrada tradeable at that price. He will get lit up in al East ball parks
