  1. Seen the Jays play in Boston, NYC, Tampa, Baltimore, Cleveland and Chicago. Never had an issue in any of them. I am a Jays fan living in Boston for the past 8 years and try to see the Jays at least a few times a year at Fenway. Fully decked out in my gear, never one bad incident just friendly banter in good fun. Also seem to end up with at least one beer bought for me by some random Sox fan who thinks I am visiting from out of town.
  2. I love Bautista the same way I loved Rickey Henderson, George Bell, Manny Ramirez and Barry Bonds. f*** choir boy players, they bore me.
  3. I like bat flips. Even when they are against the Jays, of course I like them even more when one of our guys does them. Dyson is a dumpster diving trash bag bitch. He has nasty stuff, but got lit up and got his period as a result. Some of his teammates have had some epic (Fielder anyone??) bat flips as well, so if he has an issue with "respecting the game", he doesnt gave far to look. Our "fans" did act like s*** to a certain extent. Who cares though, we know most of them were not even interested in this team a few month ago....no sweat off my back the bandwagon still has room as we roll towards a WS. I am hung over, happy but still hungry for more. This is one of those times I wished I still lived in Toronto, the city looks like its having a great f***ing time.
  4. I would have much rather the Cubs drive up the price and the Sox follow suit and match. Lester is a good pitcher, being paid as an elite pitcher right now. Would have been great to see the Sox saddled with that contract before next years much better FA pitchers class. They will most likely go out and make some trades, mixed with value signings, which might be good for us in the short term but hardly much longer than a year.
  5. I think everyone freaked out when this trade happened. Of course I was 9, so I wasn't exactly surrounded by baseball savvy people at the time, but everyone loved the two guys being traded away. Of course everyone also pretty quickly got over it.
  6. It sounds like Betts is about as close to untouchable as it gets. If the Lester rumors are true (He returns to Boston by early next week) then they can afford to be patient and center a deal around Cespedes and other prospects.
  7. If the projections are even close to correct on this guy, then this deal will end up being a bargain. Wonder how serious the Jays were with him?
  8. I hope you are right, but I have a hard time believing they throw all this money at hitting and have nothing on reserve to spend on the rotation. That rotation as of today is horrible. What everyone is saying is this does not prevent them from signing Lester or Miller, but we shall see.
  9. I am a Jays fans living in Boston and no one locally ever thought they would go for both. It does make some sense when you think of it though. If they re-sign Lester and Miller and trade Cespedes (plus) to Seattle for Iwakuma as rumoured then they really did not touch their farm system and end up with a pretty f***ing good team. Payroll wise its a clusterf***, but we all know Henry has money to burn, especially once he flips the Boston Globe property for redevelopment. Betts, Pedroia, Ortiz, Ramirez, Sandoval, Napoli, Bogaerts, Castillo, Vazquez. Followed by possibly Lester, Iwakuma, Buchholz, Kelly and De la Rosa is a pretty damn good team. Especially with Uehara, Miller (possibly), Mujica, Workman, Tazawa rounding out the Pen. Of course this could blow up in their face and they do not re-sign Lester, lets hope that happens and this turns to s***.
