  1. Listening to Pat talk about advanced stats gives me the same feeling that I had when I was a teenager and my dad tried to talk about music with me and my friends.
  2. "You're not the GM until you pin me!" -John Gibbons
  3. All over Butcher's face.
  4. You would be hard pressed to find a player in the MLB who would not do whatever it takes to win, regardless of his personal feelings about his teammates. The only situation I can think of where a player's personality might negatively affect the team, is if the personality of the player is toxic to the point of being extreme. For example, a complete nutcase who goes out of his way to make life miserable for his teammates. Other than that, ******* or not, players want to win and they will put their personal feelings aside in order to do so.
  5. Have Martin's dad play 'Careless Whisper' at the start of every game.
  6. Damn, really?!? Good for you, man! I'm not a terrible golfer, but I'm certainly not great. I reckon my handicap is in the 12-15 range. I have a friend that I used to golf with who is a legitimate scratch golfer. It's really fun to watch and I definitely improved a lot just by playing with him.
  7. That was very much the point. I always feel that humor is the best way to handle frustrating situations.
  8. I believe this question is quickly gaining relevance.
  9. Didn't you see? He doesn't even look like he's walking yet. I don't know who that guy with him was though. His assistant?
  10. With the way the season is going so far, a fight between Gibbons and at least one of the players is inevitable. Who will be the first to unleash the fury, and who will win the fight?
  11. Wilner's view on Gibbons' decisions. Sorry, I don't know how to embed a tweet... Mike WilnerVerified account ‏@Wilnerness590 . @agdmills @bradyfan590 Then go over his tenure and find the head-scratching decisions. There might be a dozen.
  12. I guess what I am really wondering is if anyone sees a scenario in which one of these guys is traded this season in an effort to improve the pitching. Could one of them, possibly in some kind of package, give the Blue Jays a return that legitimately improves the pitching?
  13. Is this a real possibility this year? Discuss any scenarios in which you think this could happen? Where would they go? What would the return be? Note: This is not a knee-jerk reaction post. I'm just interested to know what people think.
  14. I think Gibbons must hate Smoak.
  15. I think they represent the constant search for wins.
