I'm hoping someone can give me some thoughts on my question. If there is a legitimate reason to not have just started Dickey in this game, I don't know what it is.

Serious Question: With what Barry Davis just said about what Copeland went through to get to NY, why would the Jays not just start Dickey? Is there any legitimate reason why a knuckle-baller can't go with 1 day less rest than normal? I mean, it's gotta be better than a guy like Copeland going after driving from Buffalo and getting hardly any sleep.

Serious question: Why does Pillar approach hitting the way he does? It doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, we all know that Thole is a crap hitter, but any contribution he does make offensively is because he's not a moron. He appears to understand his limitations, and while he is lacking in talent, he usually puts forth his best effort to get on base however he can. With Pillar, any offensive contribution he makes is because he happens to make contact with his flailing swing. I just don't get why he continues to use this approach. It defies reason.

Either way, he'll never be a top 10 catcher, and certainly not a top 10 personal catcher.

Honest question: Does Jimenez project to be a good backup catcher? I don't know much about him, except what I've seen in Spring Training, and he looked good behind the plate there. I don't care much about a backup catcher's offense.
