  1. I live one train stop away from Fenway, so I've gone to a few games in my 2 years here. I've never had a problem. Most people just like talking baseball. Once I tell them that I live 10 minutes away and I grew up in Pennsylvania, they seem a bit perplexed. There are always a ton of Jays fans in the bars before/after the game, so that's always fun.
  2. Probably 1992 or 1993 (6 and 7 years old). I have two very distinct memories of the Jays from those days: the 15-14 game against the Phillies in the WS and my dad waking me up after Joe Carter hit the home run and letting me come downstairs to watch the celebration. Not sure how I became a Jays fan growing up in Pennsylvania, but it happened. Over the years and especially without any ability to stream games I had to follow from afar. Probably been really big fan again since 2009 or so when I was able to actually watch games.
  3. So conflicted. Wish it was just Norris and nothing else, but it doesn't sound like that'll be enough. Problem here is that we're bidding against so many other teams for Price. In a vaccuum, Price as a rental isn't worth that, but the market says he is. Having Price start a play-in game sounds really f***ing great, though, I have to say.
  4. And has an incredibly team-friendly contract. Can't imagine Norris alone would get that done. Probably needs at least another significant piece.
  5. Buck and Tabler with some gems already today. "There's strike 1, the best pitch in baseball." I mean, I'd rather have strike 3 but maybe I'm nuts. "He won't strike many guys out, but he just pitches." What does that even mean?
  6. Just a heads up for those of you using goatd: I recommend downloading AdBlock if you have Chrome. Using that site without it is a nightmare wrt popups. Also, Go Jays Go from Boston. Great to have baseball back.
  7. That throw was weak as f*** and he was still out by 15 feet.
  8. Ron Darling is the f***ing worst. Those of you watching in the US know what I mean.
  9. Dat .222 BABIP. Just noticed Happ's is one hundred points higher. Two opposite ends of the luck spectrum, though I realize Greene is SSS.
  10. If that's not Marquise Grissom...
  11. This American has lurked long enough. GUMMMMMMPPPPPPPP Okay, as you were.
