  1. Great season by you guys, just fell a little short. Hopefully next year we'll have another great race in the AL East.
  2. This game is really a coin flip. I'd give a slight edge to the Jays but that's about it. I would say good luck too but of course I don't mean that nor does anybody usually mean that other than to be polite. But I will say this: here's to an exciting game hopefully! ... Oh yeah, and screw the Red Sox!
  3. Reminds me of the sad day both Stan Musial and Earl Weaver died. The difference is that both of those men were of old age so there is solace in that. Dying young like Jose is a tragedy.
  4. This brought me to tears. Can only imagine what this family must be feeling.
  5. Yeah, anybody who thinks that is clearly a troll. The Blue Jays are in a good position.
  6. One other angle to consider is that this year is the only year that Pomeranz has passed the 100IP mark in a season. He could very easily breakdown and have to spend some serious time on the DL.
  7. Classless move by Stroman. If you want to hit someone to retaliate you don't throw at someone's head and risk ending their career.
  8. Beat down the Yankees for us. It's too bad you guys are a longshot for the post season. I was kinda hoping for you guys to get the WC. You guys deserve it after decades without playoffs. - An O's fan
  9. I think he's still hurting from the oblique injury (he's mentioned as much). I didn't expect him to repeat his last year but a High 800/Low 900 OPS was reasonable.
  10. Yeah, it's looking more and more like to reach the post season in AL East, a division title in necessary.
  11. A good bullpen helps but its not going to translate into a dramatically good close game record. The odds of a team bucking the Pythagorean by that much, even with a great bullpen is very unusual.
  12. Not really. The O's are close to their win expectancy. To lump them in the same amount of "f***in" lucky as the Yanks is wrong.
