Can Rasmus be moved up? He and EE are the only two reliable hitters in terms of RBI.

Listening to round table and someone mentions having good infield D and not much of an average would be nice. Really wish the Miami deal could have been done without Hech. He, Lawrie, and Reyes on 2nd would be great. Yes, I know Hech isn't the best hitter but. At least he is 12th or so in NL for ss hitting.

And check out some of Hech's highlight reel plays. It at least would be entertaining to see his D each game.

Back to Escobar and Hech., they both have approx. 300-320 at bats and Hech's average is a bit higher than Escobar's. Whose defense and age would you prefer?

At least you are consistent. Were you the kind person who defended JPA in May and ridiculed those who called out JP. Have you seen Oliver's stats vs. lefties? Really, now. Something like .340 or so.

Okay, then why not use Perez? Look at Oliver against lefties. And please don't be insulting. I don't make jokes about geeks and acne and parents' basements, do I?

Why did he use and keep Oliver in? Why did he waste so many relievers in last night's blowout? Why DI AA hire him? Who calls the shots? Gibbons body language says it all. I predict Friday.

Of course the players are to blame, but Gibbons seems spent and clueless. Oliver tonight against lefties-- given the splits- is beyond a brain fart. This team needs some spark and or firm hand or something. It is painful to see Gibbons struggle to explain things....the team, perhaps not AA ego-has nothing to lose.

Agree. I don't understand the Oliver move. Gibbs was close to tears post game. He seems defeated. I almost wish for Ozzie G. Could it be worse? Things are a train wreck as it is.

Saw the end of Gibbons' conference but did any reporters ask why unused Perez wasn't used earlier?

Yes, so predictable the guy knew Jose would take and then he threw junk on the 3-1. Why DI Jose swing and why wasn't Perez in in the eighth? The only explanation was an injury but there he is in the ninth. The only ones benefiting from this fiasco are Rogers and the LCBO
