Reyes was never, ever a good ss. I was so excited to see Hech up last year and thought if he could match K. Johnson's 2nd base stats we would be fine. He could do things almost no other ss could; I felt like a proud mother. Now we have lost him, Noah, T.D( tho he is fragile), and all wait to see if Reyes' offense will offset his defense. So sad.
It is his first year. Have you seen the plays and comments from the other broadcasts? At some point the stats and geek squad stuff is misleading for a new player. Check out clips from his games.
Really, why? I would rather have a vacuum at short than a fragile catcher. The Noah Synd.. Is troubling, true, but we could have had a sterling short stop for ten years, a game changerr, and seeing our D now, well....
Regardless of that silly 100 dollar action, to have the top defender in MlB is a coup and to trade him was silly. Escobar was lazy but good but Hech was beyond good. Imagine if he even hit 255 with that D? This was AAs huge error, more than the Mets deal.
Going to watch Four weddings at eleven. Haven't missed a ballgame in about twenty years, even bring the radio on golf cart, but this is not fun. Same crap. At least Sierra's sunglasses debacles were fun last year. Maybe when I turn back at midnight we might have adjusted, but when the Jays are in the hole they seldom adjust and play small or intelligent ball. Ha, enjoy
Hech's age and bat, pretty much on par with Escobar, makes him more attractive in my eyes. He is probably the top defender The league...as most will agree. And his bat hasn't been as anemic as many here thought.
Hech ss Reyes 2nd. We could have done something. I can't bear seeing the Hech highlights and hearing other announcers drool and yes, Miami might have taken something other than Hech; he probably wasn't a deal breaker like Boni!
