  1. Davis is an absolute monster, but the Pelicans need more depth to be truly competitve IMO. I still somewhat believe in Tyreke Evans but I'm not sure if he can come close to posting numbers like his rookie season. Eric Gordon is very meh, not really a first division player. I like Jrue Holiday, but he's not a clear-cut top 10 PG. They have players that would be good on the bench like Asik, probably Ryan Anderson, but those guys should not be starters in a team that wants to make it far into the tough Western Conference.
  2. It's not usually a very deep position in terms of impact players, but it went from Michael Jordan to Kobe and Wade, so it's not like there haven't been great players at the position.
  3. I would say that Dragic is a PG, I'm not sure if you say this because either he played at SG during the season or his game resembles that of a SG.
  4. I know he is, but I doubt he gets the starting gig right from the start of the season, and I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to award him that so early. Unless we resign Rasmus or get another CF acquisition, I think Gose gets the starting job in CF with Pompey getting starts in CF against lefties and moving around the OF on other days.
  5. If he's truly ready a Gose/Pompey platoon would be cool.
  6. Reyes (3pts) - GD Melky (2pts) - Bautista (1pt) - Edwin (1pt) - Orgfiller Navarro (4pts) - Rasmus (2pts) - Juan (3pts) - Kawasaki (9pts)- wilko Valencia (7pts) - Reimold (5pts) - Bench (10pts) - A shame, if it were a lefty I would have gone with Valencia for the chance of getting a lot of points before the playoffs began.
  7. It's nice to see Drabek doing well, albeit in the smallest of samples. At least he's not walking the ballpark.
  8. f***, I was hoping he would go to a team like the Cubs, I'm glad the Yanks and Phillies are out, hopefully Boston doesn't get him either in case he's the real deal.
  9. First of all LMAO at the use of fielding %. Second, and this is kind of a big deal...EDWIN HAS NEVER STRUCK OUT AT RIDICULOUS RATES LIKE JUAN FRANCISCO. Literally the only similarities between their games are that they are Dominicans with a lot of power and are likely failed 3B destined for a DH or 1B spot. Striking out over 30% of the time is usually a recipe for disaster, Francisco is a decent platoon bat, Edwin is a monster because he has the ability to hit for power, draw a walk, and not strike out a whole lot.
  10. Yeah I agree, if anything it wouldn't hurt to give Hutch a rest for a start or two.
  11. Be weary of Redmond's low ERA. His peripherals haven't been great, K's are down, SwStr% is way down, walks are up, and a really scary 2.3% HR/FB suggest he could be due for some big time regression, his xFIP is at 4.44.
  12. Hey East, sorry to thread-whore, but would you be interested in joining a board fantasy basketball keeper league? Some quality posters have already expressed their interest, and we'd love to have you. Here's the link if you're interested. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/3785-Fantasy-Basketball-Dynasty-League
  13. I get what you're saying, but we might not have noticed at the time that even at his worst Edwin has never struck out more than 20% of the time aside from his rookie year, and at the same time posting really good walk rates. He wasn't just an all-power guy like Francisco is.
  14. Can't believe Navarro made it home there. All Kawasaki needed to do was put the ball in play, which of course Francisco couldn't pull off.
  15. All it takes to make a GDT is for the starting lineups of each team to have been posted, and that's usually hours before the game. What's frustrating is that we can't know if fatcow will or will not show up so we're left in an awkward situation like today where multiple people have to rush to throw something out there so the rest of the posters can converse about the game.
  16. He needs to pull a Hutch and keep us in the game after the rocky start.
  17. Weeks has really fallen down a cliff, what a shame.
  18. Rickie Weeks has the same walkup song as Bautista, cool.
  19. He's older than me lol. I don't care if he's out partying every night, frankly I hope he is, but if he knows he's going to be busy he could let other people take his spot in the making of GDT's and fantasy leagues.
  20. Ugly throw by Kawasaki lol, wtf was that dude?
  21. Yeah seriously, he's kind of blowing the experience for others that would be interested and more invested than he is right now.
