I could understand it with Hicks since he's a good fielder but I believe McKinney doesn't have such a reputation so it's definitely odd, maybe they're just propping up the latter's value knowing they have nothing to lose with Stanton.
Also for those plebs that still use cable, at least Bell, MLB Extra Innings is currently showing a free preview, I imagine it'll last throughout April like it has in previous years.
I'm honestly all in on Winker. The OBP is already legit and I really think he's more than a mere 50 power guy, at least raw power. And he doesn't strike out, he's going to be a poor man's Joey Votto.
He nearly inside-outed a 97 mph fastball for a dinger like two pitches prior, then he takes another fastball on the outside half opposite field near the line. Just outstanding.
I feel like people are overestimating how much more suited Stroman and Sanchez are to face these Yankees than Happ. Now yes, these two at this point in their respective careers have much higher upside but Happ was pretty darn dominant yesterday and unfortunately he got Stanton'd. If Stroman and Sanchez can get through 5 with a 5:1 K/BB I'll be quite happy.
I think Happ was well equipped to face the Yankees and he displayed as much, the problem was the offense/Severino making it impossible for us to get anything going.
