  1. They went up hacking at every pitch at the top of the order and had no runners. The bottom of the order is taking pitches but they're below league hitters.
  2. Zero pressure on the pitcher. Easy to catch his breath. No wear on arm. There's a reason why the Rays and Red Sox are consistent while the Jays pad their stats in certain games and go on huge slumps in others.
  3. Yeah can we fire this hitting coach? The Jays are scoring runs because they are just ridiculously talented, but their approach is brutal. They hit like rookies.
  4. They're going up trying to end the inning in 3 pitches.
  5. Sometimes it feels like this team is as stupid as Montoyo.
  6. Before everything else, Montoyo needs to go. Forget about managing ability - this guy has zero common sense.
  7. Good move by the Twins found to the pen here. The Jays have pretty much been shut down by the pen this season.
  8. Blue Jays go down in order in 4 or 5 pitches next inning?
  9. It would be nice to see this offense put some pressure on the pitcher by making him work. All these pitchers need to do is make a good first or second pitch and they're out of the inning for an easy breather.
  10. The Jays play like basketball teams that live and die by the 3. If they're hot, they score 20 runs. If they're not, they can't hit anyone. They pad their stats in specific games where they kill teams and then go cold for long stretches. This team hits like a young inexperienced team even though they have a ton of dangerous hitters.
  11. Something about this approach doesn't work. It gets the other team out of touch spots way too easily. There's no pressure put on the pitcher. There's a reason why teams like the Red Sox and Rays just seem way more dangerous even though they don't have anywhere near the dangerous hitters the Jays have.
  12. At this stage you have to hope the Red Sox can sweep the Yankees. The Blue Jays have no chance at the 1st playoff spot.
  13. Yeah and this happens for long stretches during the season. They are way too hot and cold.
  14. This offense goes through too many slumps to be considered a great offense. They need to get some guys who can work the count and not seeing at everything. Their entire lineup other than their s***** hitters are the exact same.
  15. The manager has effectively done what pitchers couldn't do - slow him down.
  16. They're really not pinch hitting for the guy who they tried to use for a suicide squeeze?
  17. Kirk better be hitting this inning for Jansen.
  18. Wow, this is a crazy stat and a huge warning sign.
  19. It's crazy how much this team is underachieving. How do you all these individual performances and still be struggling to make the playoffs?
  20. Well good news is the bottom of the order actually takes pitches for the Jays. Maybe they can run the count and get a hard thrower in there for the top of the order...
  21. Lol what? The Jays are in a great spot even if they lose this game. They just need to win the rest of the series they have left.
  22. Very sly of West to give the Rays that first pitch ball on a pitch down the middle of the plate. Changed the entire inning from there.
  23. Good to beat these cheaters. They tried to turn on whatever they do in the 8th to outhit their opponents do much but the Jays withstood it.
