Please stop this. Just because he sucks as a starter doesn't in any way make him a bullpen option. We've seen what Ricky can do on a short leash, and it's not good.

Better option than Melky-f***ing-Cabrera. Any value Melky has with his hitting (which is next to nothing) is lost on his lousy defense. I'd say at least 1 in every 3 games Melky doesn't make a play an average outfielder would make. -

I actually like him as a tactician, can't really find any real tangible faults in his methods. Except there is the intangible side of things... motivating players, etc... if that actually counts or not I don't know

Not sure it's denial when so many of our high caliber players are playing well below their career averages. I think the right approach is to see if the team can turn it around next year... if not, sell mode goes into full effect
