Jays are just making it too easy for Lester. How about you guys take some pitches and get someone on base? JP and EE retired in 5 pitches now De Rosa is down 0-2.

If Izturis and De Rosa would have converted that force out Ortiz would be pitching 4 innings of shutout ball right now.

Rajai has been great this year. His #s against LHP have been stellar, and he has been generating runs all by himself (ie. stealing 2nd & 3rd base consecutively last night, or scoring off Jose's 'sacrifice fly' a couple nights ago. He is clearly a better leadoff option than Lawrie against lefties.

Stretched out for mop up duty? I don't see the point saving him for the late innings in blowout losses ala two nights ago.

Ramon Ortiz? Jays will need 6 runs minimum today to have much of a shot. Why not spot start Cecil who has starting experience and is pitching well this year?

Lol Mike Wilner still defending Gibby to the bitter end. Maddon's use of Rodney can't be compared to Gibbon's non-use of Janssen according to him.

With the game on the line Rays put in their closer Rodney. With the game on the line for us we put in a very green Loup and AAA-Lincoln. After Yunel hit that HR you could see where this game was headed. Alas, Jays season continues to hang in the balance with Ramon Ortiz on the mound tomorrow night. Now Morrow isn't healthy either? What a disaster.
