As a Yahoo! statement, same day transactions are bad for those who pay close attention to the nightly slate and waiver wire. Examples:
- Player xxx gets injured and you want to race to sign the new player who immediately benefits. You can't do this with Yahoo! same day transactions as you have to wait until the next day when more people gain the same information.
- Player xxx pitches a great start and his stock is trending up. Again, you can't beat everyone to the add, and have to wait until the next day where your likelihood of landing them drops.
Not as bad in our league since the waiver wire is disgustingly shallow, but it's annoying in 10-12 team leagues. ESPECIALLY in basketball since playing time is everything and injuries open up a lot of value.
