  1. Totally agree, need a big game out of Dickey today, not really because it would start some magical streak, but more because if comes out throwing BP again anything positive we've built up over the past week or so will sink quicker than the Titanic.
  2. I think Ricky coming out and admitting his problems are 100% mental are a big step in turning this around.. it seemed like for a while no one wanted to say it but now that its out there he can just focus on moving on.
  3. I know blisters and stuff to pitchers can be a bitch and complicate things etc.. but I really like what RA Dickey said in that Fangraphs article despite his suckage this year.. basically that there's guys who can only pitch when they are 100% and guys who can go 200+ innings. Our made-of-glass pitchers (ie Morrow and JJ) are really showing it this year.
  4. One has gotta be a long man to go in and clean up for Rogers tomorrow. Wagner is good and all, but he's most like a one inning guy.
  5. After we have all fallen in love with him over the past month or so and some decent stats and D, there's no way we can just let this guy grab another seat on the DFA carousel is there?? Are DeRosa/Boni/Izzy DFA'able/tradeable? DeRosa has grown on me and as a 25th guy playing sparingly, I like him. Boni is starting to come around, has lots of speed but can't play any of his positions well. Ability to play the OF (not well of course) also helps a little. Izzy has a decent track record but he'd be the one (taking in his contract) I'd dump on another team if possible. Kawasaki grinds out ABs, runs up pitch counts, and gets on base at a pretty decent clip. Defensively, he's what I'd call very average, and his noodle arms hurts his overall D. Thus moving him to second (in a platoon-ish role maybe with Boni?) His D would likely improve where he doesn't need to use his arm as much. All I know is I want this guy around for the rest of the year and maybe longer. Is there any way AA holds onto him when Reyes comes back in a month or so?
  6. Hug your children and wives tight, the end is near!!!!
  7. I think I might even prefer that.. haha #startingdepth
  8. That settles it for AA, scoreless inning = Thad Weber new setup man!
  9. Is Jenkins deaf? Don't mean to be insensitive or anything, I just always notice that earpiece he's wearing.
  10. I don't buy the "the Rogers' Centre is a bad fit for Dickey" argument, especially right now. The HR's he's given up have been f***ing smoked, they'd be out anywheres.
  11. A machete hit to rub it in haha..When you give up back to back hits to Boni and Blanco you are probably not a good pitcher.
  12. Check out his wife haha.. Chicks dig the long ball bro!
  13. 6 runs off a guy like Tillman shouldn't be overly impossible to overcome. If Ortiz can hold it together then I think we might still have a chance.
  14. "Would the Jays have called up Nolin if J.A. Happ and Ricky Romero weren’t recovering from head trauma?" Hahahahahahahaahha
  15. Wow gotta get that ball down. Everything looks up up up,,, like Brett Cecil of yesteryear.
  16. JP seems to be stabbing at pitches more than his already usually high amount tonight. Thought he could helped Nolin with a couple of calls.
  17. 12 runs tonight can only mean we'll be shutout tomorrow!
