I thought they had a great chance to win that game and looked better than the usual Canadian team. Or maybe Mexico isn't as strong as usual. The ump sure was brutal those last two innings though

I don't know how you cannot be excited about the potential of our rotation in the coming years. Even if you hate every single one of our prospects we still have more pitching depth and talent getting closer to the majors than we have in awhile. -

Um ok so you think they should forfeit the season if they had an outfield of Reimold and Gose/Pillar Well so far this year we've got 1.5 WAR from CF and 2.3 WAR from LF Gose/Pillar could certainly put up at least that much production in CF and idk what to make of Reimold healthy or not. But let's say he's replacement level. So I guess losing 2.3 WAR is enough to forfeit the season. Not like we can get that much back with the money saved.

This is a ridiculous way to look at the term "shut down". Btw, would you say Santos shut them down when he blew saves but had a low xFIP?

Young didn't "hypothetically shut down" the Jays. But he sure did actually shut them down.

Young goes 6IP only gives up 2 hits and 2 walks with 1 run allowed. I'd say our offense got shut down.

It does happen all the time both ways. Actually I bet it doesn't match up exactly very often at all. And in the end of it all, what's more important to you? Whether we won or lost? Or whether we should have won or lost?

Hey org and Havok, Remember those games from the beginning of the year when Santos blew a couple saves but had a sexy xFIP? Was he "shutting down" the other team as we lost those games?
