US or UK? I've only watched the US version and I agree that it's quite excellent. I was binge watching it for a bit and stopped somewhere in season 2, his monologues really bother me. I found they weren't even needed most of the time.

From a pure talent standpoint, I'd take Randy Johnson over Clemens. JMO though, can't really go wrong with either.

Over who, though? 10 name max. Walker, Trammell and Mussina all belong in the HOF, and at least one may get bumped off the ballot. Nonsense. I hate the BBWAA. Then after the vote, these idiots gloat about not letting in the cheaters who basically wrote their paycheques in the 90s. Jon Heyman gets to use an editor, that is way worse than Barry Bonds using steroids because BB still had to be good at what he did. Both are cheating, no?

Good thing these goons voted in only 3 guys last year! If Glavine was still there, he might not make my ballot. Tom Glavine is a first ballot hall of famer and Barry Bonds is not. This is the world we live in. Anyway, I'd probably squeeze Walker in over Mussina, otherwise your list is a carbon copy.

Ok, sorry, The Lannisters care only for themselves and will do whatever it takes to survive and thrive. That fits all of them, including Jaime who is not a good guy. Cersei isn't deep at all, she's very predictable and harsh. Not really particularly smart. I found her father much more interesting. Tyrion is also a lot deeper than Cersei. Cersei is just a cruel, self centred woman who does what she's told in order to get ahead.

Lannisters = power hungry and evil. Boltons = power hungry and evil. Starks = good. Baratheons = power hungry and evil. Tyrells = mostly good. Every soldier/guard ever = sadistic ******* who enjoys rape. The Hound was probably the best character on that show as he allied with no one. I also enjoy Littlefinger and the small amount of time with Prince Oberyn.

True Detective is still running. I guess Sons of Anarchy just wrapped up so technically that isn't in the way anymore. It's definitely the most popular show still running. It's like the Foo Fighters of TV Shows.

What's deep about it? It doesn't challenge your perspective on anything. It doesn't make you reconsider your position on good vs. evil. It's epic scale fantasy with lots of shocking blood and gore. If there's a twist of any kind, spoiler alert, someone dies. How deep is a show that strictly kills people off to create entertainment value? I watch it and it's enjoyable but it doesn't come close to Breaking Bad or the Wire.

It's a pretty good show that gets overrated because simple people love gratuitous violence and nudity. It's just entertainment, not very deep or revolutionary.
