What difference does it make? AA could learn a thing or two. Choice of FO staff is an important part of being in that position.

So Dave Cameron overvalues contract length and cost, which somehow leads him to rank Kluber, who is undeniably a better pitcher on a better contract over a longer term, behind MadBum. Does this guy have any direction? He's so all over the place. Kind of annoying that someone pays him for this crap.

Yeah my first comment came about half way through that article, which was long winded and muddled. It was probably the worst baseball piece (where I've fundamentally agreed with the premise) that I've ever read. Just brutal.

It kind of feels like he picks and chooses which stats to display in order to make the Padres look worse, which seems dishonest. For example, he'll use ERA and FIP for Jesse Hahn to display that he'd be arguably the team's best starter but by xFIP, he'd be 4th best. Also kind of wish he'd cut out using slash lines, especially comparing hitters going in and out of San Diego where obviously the slash line will suffer a bit. wRC+ is your friend, Rany.

Who the f*** decides Dave Cameron should be in charge of writing these lists? It's egregious. The worst are the Dave Cameron fanboys who are actually defending him listing Yan Gomes ahead of Todd Frazier. Some guy said Walt Jocketty would be dumb to decline Frazier for Gomes. Holy f***?
