This has gotten me thinking to the future. Is this what we want to see every year? This Jays team, or a future team like it, trying to stave off the Orioles, Mariners or Tigers for the last playoff spot? Totally cheapens the sport. Rob Manfred is the worst thing to happen to baseball since the save statistic. I am of course a fan of the Jays, but it would be a travesty to see this iteration going deep in the playoffs. -
Aaron Donald is probably one of the best DTs to ever play, but I don't need to hear about him during literally every stoppage.

No no. We have to talk about how the Browns are finally justifying the hype around them by scoring 35 points (and allowing 30, lol!) against what has to be, once again, the worst run defense in the NFL. I'd love to see if Hunt and Chubb will be able to run like this against teams like the 49ers, Bills, Patriots or even the Jets.

Yeah if there was a joke somewhere in there, I missed it completely. I'm putting this down as your fault. Rooting for the Bengals in this one. The Browns are weird in that they are bad but I would prefer they stay bad forever just for the lulz

Yeah I mean, the Bengals might be a bit exciting and I believe in Joe Burrow, but I think Baker Mayfield will be another idk...Mitch Trubisky? Maybe unfair, Baker will probably be a bit better. Bottom line, though, this is two sub-500 teams being featured in prime time. It suxxxxxxx Well, one of them is dating a model so...I'm gonna ask my wife rq. Ok, confirmed, McVay is more handsome. She at first actually didn't find Kliff handsome at all, so we had to throw hands but in the end she found a picture where he was "pretty ok"

I'd also enjoy the non-sensical selections that are made simply because one team despises another. For example, Yankees choosing the Astros with teams like, idk...Seattle? On the board. Or something. Also, make it a rule that the Rays can never be a 1-4 seed, permanently. I don't care if it's not fair. Or at least make your rep Kiermaier who would give us something nice to look at. With maybe like a split screen with him from a regular distance on one side and then just a close up of his baby blues on the other.

Yeah, he's a hard player to cheer for. I mean, I don't think anyone really believed deep down that he was going to maintain his success, but we were willing to buy into dumb narratives like "letting the ball travel" and "focusing on hitting the ball up the middle" and "he learned to lay off outside pitches". When he's good, he's one of the best in the game. When he's not, he's one of the worst. There is no inbetween with Randy. The only constant is that he is stunningly handsome. -

I agree. Choosing your opponent would be awesome. Would be even better if you had the reps for the 5-8 seeds or whatever sitting there and then there's confrontations like at a UFC weigh in. Then they do a presser where the top teams explain why the teams they chose suck buttholes and then that team responds by insinuating that the top teams cheat. It would be great TV and might actually bring personality to baseball. I'd prefer doing away with divisional seeding in that case, though. What if, as has often been the case, the winner of the AL Central sucks copious amounts of dicks, but because they automatically get seeded third, the top team can't pick them? At the same time, I like divisional pennants and rivalries so idk. Maybe have it so that division winners qualify automatically but are subject to seeding strictly by record.

Honestly, they are probably pretty close. It's essentially Sixto and Lopez + a bunch of crap. The Jays have Ryu and a bunch of lesser crap. Maybe slight edge to the Marlins? The Jays' bullpen blows theirs out of the water so I'm not really sure what difference it makes.
