In relation to his peers, I'd say above average. He has deficiencies that've been exposed that cannot be attributed to Beeston's influence. My least favourite is his tunnel vision of when there's a problem with the team, he focuses on that problem. Why not just focus on making the team better as a whole instead of only addressing the actual issues on the team.

They're solid, but I wouldn't necessarily say they're a WS contender.

What did Trout say the past two seasons? Angels farm is atrocious, the lineup could be solid if there are some rebounds. The rotation is improved and the pen is meh for me.

If Nof49 is talking ALWest pennants, I easily see them and the A's slugging it out for the next few years.

You can't really believe that this team was a true 74 win team last year. As for the deadline, I still think we're in this mess waist deep and there's no looking back until guys are retiring or contracts are up.

If my boss is Beeston, I abide by his direction so I keep my job. If he attempts to give any further advice or demands what players or types of players to target, I listen, comply and immediately start the countdown of when my contract runs out with the hopes of landing a job elsewhere where I have more autonomy. I agree with this and what is actually happening/going down. And its a shame that a mid/high market team is pretending to be something it isn't. I hope Beeston isn't living out this Mike Illitch type legacy dream from the President's seat. Apparently he tried for Anibal and Peavy and fell short. So he settled on a panic move in getting Dickey. IMO Alex should target a couple FA's from the guys available each year. Know he's going to overpay in years and money and go overboard because the Jays HAVE to and just do it. My interest in the team will wane further if its a series of windows to contend and rebuild windows every few years. Its what the Marlins did for years and its f***ing dumb. It's a very hollow way to build a team.

I wish they'd stop messing around with McGowan. Just leave him in the pen and try and move him up the ladder into a higher leverage role. As much as people aren't fond of Gose being in a FT role, he'd be a massive upgrade defensively in LF and not much of a downer at the plate compared to the amount of time the Jays wasted running Melky out to LF in 2013. But, I would still prefer to see if Melky's ready and run with him early in 2014. Morrow had question marks surrounding him in 2013, just more, so its same old, same old. I don't think we're in that much worse shape than 2013.....its just a matter of what transpires.

Generally speaking if you're fond of the window talk, you'd obviously not want to move the core/vets. So my question is when do the vets/core get moved? My thoughts are the team should abandon the window they've drawn up and slowly go back to what they were doing. Start moving pieces, instead of holding strong to this pie in the sky plan.

Hahaha. I just don't understand the love the dogg & his "friends" or his other accounts receive. Its almost like one of the mods, or vet/respected posters can't have his account deleted, because he's being given a "fresh start" on this new forum moderated internally.

I didn't mind getting banned. Because if mild conversation appears to bug most of society because they're overly sensitive, the stuff I was posting most definitely deserved to be dealt with.

As BTS said, what does "Moh You" bring to the conversation/forum? He converses with some other idiot. But I guess its not really a bannable offence. Its cute seeing someone with a mental illness talking to another poster who also appears to be mentally deficient.

I don't care if they alter opinions, but the altering shouldn't be dramatic, otherwise the opinions they held last year were very wrong. Going into 2013 we had an old, expensive team for this market, but not compared to "peer" teams, with little depth, little if any financial wiggle room, and an unwillingness to move any players to improve and most fans were calling for WS parades. Having most of the fanbase say, "we really need to fill 3 big holes going into 2014" and hoping for contention...... puts us in the exact same 2013 boat.

IMO he's the same as the High85's of the last forum. But for some reason the mods have been snipped from banning, or just don't feel the need to ban, for whatever reason.

Its time for him to end his multiple account/personality schtick. Sometimes a sentence proves difficult for him to piece together. And in this thread its like he forgot he was posting as Moh You and went full blown English in full posts. He's like Ang'. He falls in and out of these spells where he'll ramble off a few posts like English was a first language. And then remembers he has a gimmick to uphold and goes back to his 3rd world mother tongue.

At what point do the vets start getting moved? Or do we ride them into retirement & free agency and show nothing as a return? Either way this team is f***ed in 2 years.

How did the old forum run? Pretty much rampant......the posters ran roughshod over the mods, if there was any. On here, its (Michael Jackson voice) "Hey guys, we're making this nice forum inclusive to all. We're not looking to ban or shun anyone"

If you hitched yourself to the 2013 team as a contender on paper before the 2013 season with Izturis or Bonifacio as the starting 2B. You can't complain about the 2014 team with Izturis at 2B, because its pretty much the same team.

What's the point of having mods? You've been Beeston'd to ignore banning anyone....this forum is inclusive to all.

Didn't Morrow & Johnson have questions before the 2013 started as well? Everyone who disregards a farm/youth has pretty much set themselves up for a huge letdown in the near future. The players we have won't be moved when their value is optimal, because Alex is clinging to this little window to contend. And when that window is closed, those same players who were closer to their max value, will be further away, worth less in trade and a farm that even though is being lauded as phenomenal in the lower ranks will still be a good 2, 3 years from helping the big league club out. Mediocre team again with a farm ready to contend.....hey lets go all in, because we can win in the next 3 years. Wash, rinse repeat = fail
