The Blue Jays are hopeful that Josh Donaldson (calf) will be able to begin sprinting workouts soon.
Advice: That's the final hurdle that Donaldson needs to clear before he can begin a minor league rehab assignment. He's been working out, taking grounders, hitting, throwing, and jogging since mid-July. The impending free agent third baseman will likely be the big fish on the August waiver trade market if he's at 100 percent health. He's been out since May 29 with a lingering left calf injury.
