Lol 0 chance a mark shapiro led organization would offer a pitcher like strasburg significant money. -

Blue Jays sign Shun Yamaguchi from the NPB to a 2 year contract

I doubt this signing will stop them from doing anything. And they werent going to sign Ryu regardless, so its whatever even if it does. -

Cool signing I guess. Dont have anything to lose. -
Ryu would've been cool, but was always unlikely. Jays will probably sign someone like miley

Sparks? No. Hutchinson? Everyone already knows what he is in the NHL. 1 out of a possible 14 points from backup has seriously hurt the team. If the backup is able to go .500, they are 2nd in their division.
-
Completely ignoring the backup position is pretty bad from Dubas. His plan was to give Michael Neuvirth a PTO? It is realistic that the backup position will cost them the playoffs.
-
I wonder when Toronto media will start talking about what a colossal failure Dubas has been? I actually thought he'd do a good job.

Yankees sign Gerrit Cole for 9 years, $324M (36M AAV)

Good signing. They'll take those s***** last years in exchange for one of the best pitchers in the game during their window to compete for a championship -

cool. Rowdy is trash no offense, hopefully this guy is better. -
I would do Ryu on a 2 year deal. Would possibly go 2/60, pay him 40 million this year rather than give him the extra year.

Why cant they admit Drury is f***ing terrible?

Claim him, cover like 90% of his salary and trade him.

Nice coaching tactics by Babcock 👍

Raptors are one of the best run organizations in pro sports right now. Crazy that they've made it to this point.

Leafs are a mess. They lack character. I saw Jake Muzzin call them out today for not playing with enough heart and passion. They need some good vets in the locker room. Their give-a-s*** meter is at 0. Unacceptable. Reminds me of when Anthopolous admitted he didnt think much of intangibles and then later realized how important they were. They should get a guy like Kyle Clifford of the Los Angeles Kings. Im not a big analytics guy when it comes to hockey, but seems like their offense is pretty bad this year. Too many shots from the point. Not enough coming from the slot area. Coach needs to do something different when it comes to that. All they have to do is revert their offensive game back to what it was last year. Shouldnt be that hard.
-
Could see that happening. They did give John Coppolella a life time ban, and I dont think that situation was nearly as bad as this. Other teams may be doing what the Astros have done, but I think the league should send message by using the Astros as an example. Either way, I'd like to see a serious price paid.
