    Dunno what Ross was thinking. But when you think about it, the Jays should be able to cobble together production from third that leaves somewhat less than the Avogadro’s number Chapman left on base last year.

    Yeah, I know. Ross has a great sense of who to sign and when, and in the case of Ray, when to let them go. Full points. From a business model POV, though, that might not be sustainable. Jays have to spend gobs of money on FA starters every year, and other what was the lightening flash of Manoah, it impacts every other part of the team. Here’s hoping for Ricky.

    Really disappointing on Barriera’s velo. Damn, the Jays have a hard time developing starters.

    Full points to Ross for the Bassitt signing. He’s had a great season. Managed to stay healthy like the rest of the starters, which doesn’t happen very often. I enjoy watching him pitch, and hope he gets a playoff start in the wildcard series, should we make it.

    Eye opener for me was when Shulman said the average on base plus slugging in Triple A was over .800, what with the automated strike zone or challenge rules. Might take a little sheen off all those guys seemingly raking in Buffalo.

    My favourite Schneider moment so far is him busting his ass in Game One to beat the throw on a routine grounder. Didn’t really care that he beat the throw, loved the hustle. Hope he never loses that. Man, that was a fun time watching him this series!
