  1. As someone living in Chicago, it is absolutely crazy today. I think the whole city would shut down if they could. Getting into work everyone is in some type of Cubs gear. For some reason I thought the parade wouldn't be this soon.
  2. I know most of you are excited that Paul Beeston is finally leaving. However, I personally feel no ill words towards the man. I remember meeting him twice and actually having a in-person and phone conversation with the man after I wrote to him explaining the terrible time my wife and I had a Chicago White Sox and Blue Jays game this past season. He personally called me and my wife in Chicago and offered to give us two premium tickets to a game in Toronto or Chicago for any game, since him and Reinsdorf are friends. When I was the phone with him, he was nice, apologetic, and actually wanted my input on how to make the experience better, but still I could imagine him sitting at his desk with his feet on the desk - with no socks, drinking a scotch and chomping on a cigar. Sooner or later everyone will start hating on Mark Shapiro and it will begin again.
  3. I am just interested to see how long this thread going to continue? Are we going to post on every start he has?
  4. I would hate for Buerhle to retire. Maybe the White Sox sign him to a one year deal, that would be great. It is funny though, how the fanbase really criticized Buerhle in his first year and even wanting to get rid of him last year, but now everyone loves him and is saddened by the reports that he could retire.
  5. I usually don't post, but I have been following this thread and I am just curious, why are so many posters willing to give up on someone like Sanchez? I am really dumbfounded. Instead of letting him develop, we have those who want to trade him, crap on him, or hoping he doesn't make the rotation, shouldn't we give him a chance before we relegate him to a bust and/or trade bait?? I truly hope he proves the naysayers wrong. I am on record as a believer in the 22 year old Sanchez and if he busts I will admit it. But I am willing to give him a chance.
  6. Hey Randyc. My experience was an odd one last year. We tried watching MLB.TV through my wife's desktop which is hooked to our TV, but it didn't work. However, I was able to watch it through my laptop - it connects via the wifi. On a side note, MLB.TV is really worth having, especially if you are a baseball junkie and enjoy watching more than one team.
  7. Hey everyone. First time poster. I was wondering if you are still looking for a new owner? I would be interested in joining. What is your format of your league? Keeper? Auction?
