  1. Yeah rewind a couple pitches before the grounder when they close in on him. You can read his lips.
  2. Biagni told Hanley to "get in the F'ing box", then induced a double play. He's a keeper.
  3. Wow you read his lips
  4. Stop pitching to stop the run on third
  5. Guy on first 2 outs you give him one batter to get out. If not the hook. Work up his confidence in leverage situations. Not gonna be able to go to biagini/osuna well all season high leverage
  6. I would have used storen here
  7. Hes literally leaning back in his new swing where hes not balanced. He is conditioned to make contact using a whiplash approach (which is body movement that doesnt go away/towards the pitcher - its side ways movement). Thats not a way to teach someone to swing, but if you are used to that (and were good at it) - youll always revert back in body and the parts wont align. How do i get in contact with him. He needs to watch videos of his old swing, figure out what to forget about whatever he was taight this offseason. Then never watch tape again. We are already lethal on offense (i know the stats dont show- but we are). If tulo does the above We'll be historically good the rest of the season. Hes the last piece with hope (pillar no hope - everyone else has good swings)
  8. http://www.faketeams.com/2016/2/24/11104216/troy-tulowitzki-has-new-swing-mechanics-will-it-help-him-rebound Watch the swing comparison there and when tulo bats next. With his new swing hes compensating with his front half which causes you to give up on pitches/be late. His old swing (while unconvetional), was better. He was an aimer with a whiplash swing that uses more back arm movement than most. The new swing looks better howvever for a guy thats already free with his arms, its not a good thing. Causes him to over focus on front end and disregard His real strength - contact. Tulo is good. Hes never gonna be good with this swing though
  9. has the hitch in tulo's swing always been that exaggerated? Drops his elbows. Im sure coaches have tried to remove that in the past - but when you lose bat speed with age that split second becomes a lot more important. Im not suggesting he completely reconstruct his swing midseason, however its pretty apparent that its non-productive movement he might want to consider eliminating as he ages. Not gonna help with the backwards k's - but ive seen a lot of swings and misses and awkward contact from a guy who was a star. If anyone is connected to jays please share this. I want no credit i just want him to be good and us to win.
  10. Why didnt Max Pentecost play? WE NEED him catching Harris ASAP.
  11. Something about this game I wont turn it off. Playoffs.
  12. Pentecost is my favorite player.
  13. Thanks. Similar to last year and four years ago.
  14. Two words, Nestor Molina
  15. Is this forum on tapatalk?
  16. I got five kittens
  17. It's not that crazy of a thought: Move Donaldson for a Carrasaco type plus another controllable #3 starter (+5M in payroll) OR Move Encarnacion for a controllable #3 starter (+5M in payroll) Then, Trade Dickey (+10) Trade/Non-tender Revere (+5) Non-tender Thole (+1.5) That's over 20M to either be spent extending Bats/Edwin and/or going out and getting another free agent. The dream version of the Donaldson example for 2016: Carrasco Stroman From Donaldson Happ Estrada/Chavez Heyward Bautista Encarnacion Tulowitzki Collabello Martin Travis Pillar Goins You pick one of Bats/Edwin to keep long term and either trade the other at deadline or let him walk for the pick if you are contending. The dream version of the Edwin example for 2016: Price/Greinke Stroman From Edwin Happ Estrada/Chavez Travis Donaldson Bautista Tulowitzki Collabello Martin Smoak Pillar Goins
  18. (Rosenthal) Sources: #BlueJays still talking to #Brewers about Fiers. TOR numerous balls in air: Samardzija, Cueto, Price if he becomes available, etc.
  19. Theres no stat that tells you when a regression to the mean will occur. = "Timing" The reality is that inconsistent pitchers have bad seasons because sample size is not confined to a single season. In your head it is confined because that's the way sample size is often reported. You've failed to respond to me in a manner which adds value. You've failed on multiple occasions. For this reason I will no longer communicate with you.
  20. If you are suggesting his peripherals are consistent start to start then ok. But i find that very hard to believe.
  21. Yes it does matter when your offense is not the norm like ours. The guy that is evened out gives us more chances to win because offense is exponential.
  22. Ok, but that tells you nothing about timing. It just gives you a value for use in the aggregate. A guy that goes 8 strong for 2 and gets lit up for 1 in no way suggests he is going to even out or "go on a roll". He may just be flat out inconsistent. In hutch's case i dont think there is enough evidence to suggest otherwise.
