  1. This game has been a complete dud.
  2. I don't want Houston to win, and it probably wouldn't matter anyway. But bad calls like that prevent any attempt of a rally.
  3. You could see that coming. He'd lost all command of his pitches.
  4. Since the 1st inning Grand Slam, the Astros have outscored the Braves 9 to 1.
  5. Chavez has thrown 15 pitches so far, only 6 of them have been strikes.
  6. Just missed it. Thankfully we didn't miss getting a good WS game finally.
  7. RF Yusniel Diaz who was supposed to be the key piece of the trade is looing like a bust. 3B Rylan Bannon, who might be a utility guy if were lucky. SP Dean Kremer, who looked promising at the end of 2020 but has completely regressed and spent most of the 2021 in the minors and pitched poorly there. I still think he could be a back of the rotation guy, but he needs to rebound. RP Zach Pop who could have been a back end of the bullpen type but we let him go. Still hasn't performed in the majors like that, but I could see us regretting letting him go. INF Breyvic Valera lastly, who really is not much of anything and really wasn't expected to be. Bottom on line, they should have extended Machado earlier, or traded him earlier. Instead they held on to him until he had a 1/2 season control left on him and of course got less value for it.
  8. That could have been caught. Instead, bye-bye no hitter and more importantly, a man on with 0 outs in a 1 run game.
  9. The 2004 Cardinals went 105-57 but lost the WS. 2 years later, the 2006 Cardinals won the WS despite going just 83-78.
  10. Having A-Rod as your idol, well that's not the best choice. Douche level aside, he was fun as hell to watch. To this day some Oriole fans use "Manny would have had that" as a remembrance to how good he was on D and how special it was to watch him on a daily basis.
  11. Good lord, did the Braves forget how to play defense overnight?
  12. Urquidy is making a lot of bad 0-2 pitches.
  13. Looks like it's going to be a big strike zone tonight.
  14. Boss mode was in session.
  15. The only 2 players off the top of my head are Jose Beltran in 2004 and Barry Bonds in 2002.
  16. First of all, what I said was in jest. Second of all it was less than 4 years ago, I'm not going on just winning the title.
  17. There's a very important life lesson here. If you cheat, good things will happen to you.
  18. This is a little off topic, but Jim Wolf has been really good behind the plate tonight.
  19. The deathblow! Eat it SOX!
