Melky might be out of shape, but his woes have to do with his wheels.. those hams look really strained, dude can barely stop even though he's running half speed as is. a 15 day DL combined with the ALl-star break would be ideal, but i dunno if he can last another month at this rate.

Melky needs a day off.. Tomorrow is a good day for that.....or maybe we wait until Friday when Jo Jo Reyes comes back.. (lol, i went there!)

Yeah, Rogers is looking less sharp.. but he's not even thrown 80 pitches so far!! Oh well... cue a dp guys.. lets knock this inning out!

YEah, these stat=padding HR's aren't exactly helping the Jays cause wrt contracts/arb etc... although he makes good trade bait. I dunno. maybe that rock between his ears yields finally, and maybe JPA becomes a productive member of the team... #amitoohighbro

Haha no worries.. I was just reading up on them recently.. he had 4 almost no-hitters.. look his wiki up.. pretty fascinating!... Back to back no hitters broken in the 9th with 2 outs to end the season!

It did happen, just a few weeks ago.. IT didn't last long.. but boy was he hot.. (or atleast it seemed that way!)... He'll be back... I'd rather him slumping while the rest on the team are mashing...it's only a matter of time though..

I was hoping for a game where we could score a ton early on.. and then afford to give Melky the rest of the afternoon off.. We started right..but now that's 9 in a row retired...no bueno!

That's cuz it was SOO obviously a go.. Rockies pretty much conceded the run there... DeRosa coulda scored standing up if he hadn't slowed down at 3rd. Silly baserunning mistake, completely unexpected from a Vetrin... it cost us a run and an out, but hopefully his teammates have done enough for it not matter!

Hahaha..its always the other extreme.. last week, in that game tying HR, Buck was convinced the HR was going fall.. followed by ..."foul.. foul...AND HOME RUN"

No doubt they're gonna try... but Toronto has no more trips to Chitown scheduled, so it'll have to be a special trip, unlike the Yankees which will likely be a DH.. But yeah, its still early (lol, relatively speaking)... my post started off more as a comment on the dismal state of our season really.. sigh..

If at the end of a season, a make-up game is deemed inconsequential to the results, and its extremely inconvenient, then by mutual consensus and with MLB's blessings, the game is just not played.. I think it happened to the jays in '04... (and i think '85, 78 and 77) when they only played 161 games
