YEah.. Gose didn't even look at Rivera, and it was an instinctive play. Frankly, I enjoyed it but only because it was something different and fun to see.. if he had been thrown out, I would have been pissed and called for a benching to curb the "youthful exuberance".
What it does do is highlight what speed can do on the base paths. With Davis (when he comes back), Gose and Boneface, we should never have a problem with late inning pinch runners, which means Melky can probably be sub'd most of the time after 7innings over the next few weeks while his wheels heal!
I was also looking at the batting lineup, and I'm loving seeing the top of the lineup racking up them ribeyes and steadily inreasing their BA/OBP. The bottom of the lineup though REALLY needs to step up. 3 of them at or near the Mendoza line is definitely too much to carry on a (hopefully) competitive team!
