    Did I say I was worried? He's not elite this year, not even close.... Why does he think he belongs at the allstar game? He surely doesn't. He is not even leading the team, and his numbers continue to drop.

    How about both??? Davis is OBP, and average and power.... Why be OK with sucking at one? The best hitters don't hit .240... BAutista is not exactly leading the league in HR or .OBP either.

    LOL yes because a teams fan board is a great place for any kind of proof.... Most fansd will bad mouth any former players the moment they leave no matter the reality. Thole is not the long term answer, but neither is JP, so play the better defensive player.

    This is my biggest issue with the team..the hitting approach at times is terrible and too easy for pitchers to shut down. We need guys who have more professional at bars... Too many low average, all or nothing hitters, who are prone for bad streaks. The rays series is a perfect example, no way should we have only scored 1 run against matt moore, who could not throw anything for strikes. We need an upgrade or a change in philosophy

    Did the org really just call up thole to catch dickey? Shouldn't they give him more starts? It is hard to gauge if he can improve his hitting when he only plays once a week, plus JP is terrible. Why does the org seem to be in love with JPA? They should give thole more starts behind the plate.

    Problem is the sox are one of the best hitting teams in baseball............Lester though he is struggling usually owns the jays, won't be easy, bats need to wake up.

    I see the win streak gave some fans a false sense about this team..They are not as good as they were during that streak, and not as bad as they were in april, right now they are a .500 team that goes in too many bad stretches at the plate. Lawrie has not hit much in over a year. We need a betetr bat at second and catcher. We have too many undisciplined hitters, and Bautista has continued th struggle, his average below .250. We have too many low average hitters right now. This was a series 2 out of 3 was easily obtainable, but the offense went to sleep.

    big win today, a sweep would have been terrible. Huger series coming up, cannot lose this series, the worst we should hope for is a split, I'm hoping we take 3 of 4 but this offense needs to wake up, they were horrendous in the rays series, terrible plate approach.

    Agree, but our offense needs an upgrade imo, too many undisciplined hitters with poor plate approach means we go on stretches where we are easily shut down but pitchers who are not even pitching well, like this series.

    Huge series imo, we win we are in real good position. The offense worries me, the sox will score runs they are a good hitting team. The bats need to wake up and have a better approach.
