  1. ?? Never said it was gibbons fault...most of the hitters on the team hit this way, no coach is going to change this.
  2. sad when you see a guy who had ace stuff in the matter of 1-2 years career being in the balance, sadly I think RR is done.
  3. Lets hope our dickey doesn't get stiff.
  4. Breaking bad best show ever, besides the wire.
  5. I don't blame murphy, the team was built around selfish hitters with horrendous plate approach. The coaches have been saying the strike outs, hitting approach and hitting w RISP has been an issue, but every game guys like EE, JP, Rasmus, lawire,Boni go up hacking without any adjustments based on pitcher patterns, situation. It's frustrating to watch guys strike out swinging hard with 2 k's all game on the same low breaking balls and outside breaking balls. This is just a really flawed hitting team. It's how it was put together. I can count on 1 hand how many times a jays hitter tried to take an outside pitch the other way all season. Edwins bat today was a perfect example. Buchholtz just walked a guy, you go up take the first pitch unless it's a get me over meat ball. What does he do? Swings hard and reaches for a pitch on the edge low for a first pitch put..... He made up his mind to swing before the pitch was throw, it's stupid baseball. In that case you take unless it's over the plate, where is the pitch recognition? Rasmus and boni in particular are horrid to watch. Look at this lineup, the middle of the order is filled with guys with averages around .220. When your 3 and 4 hitters are hitting below .200 with RISP, and just .220 overall, you got issues.
  6. After 5 + years bautista, "Changed his apporoach". Not saying he would break out like JB, but if he can just maintain a decent avg versus lefties, yes, it is not very far fetched. it is easy to see he is a diff hitter. Our bench is no better, we are not wining the WS, so play him see what he can do one last year. He never saw lefties last year either...but hes way better this year. Anyone who knows baseball can see he has a totally diff approach. and is seeing the ball a lot better then he has.
  7. Agreed. HE's seeing the ball very well, waiting for his pitch and going the other way.
  8. No it isn't. Again hitters improve, Bautista is proof, by changing their approach, Lind has changed his approach, we have no one better anyway on the bench, lind has the ability to go the other way and stay on a pitch. He only saw LP last year as well, he's is a differentyl hitter now. May as well see what he can do full time, we are not making the playoffs.
  9. Man sucks Jays and injuries go together like blood and vampires.
  10. I didn't say expect, but anyone who has eyes can see he is a lot different at the plate, he is seeing the ball, driving it the other way. He is no worse then the bench options right now. Again, if the jays had that attitude bautista would still be a utility guy. Lind has ability to be a good hitter.
  11. It's totally relevant, it shows just because he struggle before doesn't mean with a better approach he cannot improve.................Lind is a totally different hitter right now. Ny that logic the jays should have just kept Bautista as a platoon player.
  12. What was bautistas career wOBA before the jays started him everyday and he improved his approach? He can hit the ball the other way, seeing the ball well, hes no worse then the trash on the bench.
  13. Disagree, his approach is vastly better then he has been in the past, seeing the ball well, not swinging at balls out of the zone, taking it the other way, waiting for his pitch. HE should get a shot everyday.
  14. Disagree, players CAN improve, with improve patience and an eye at the plate he has shown to be a good hitter so far this year, run him out there see what he can do. Bautista was a bench player until he was almost 30..... Lind looks a lot better then he ever has this year. The jays are just pigeon holing lind as a platoon player, who else on the bench is better? lol, our bench is horrid.
  15. Linds been perhaps our best hitter for weeks now....................Gibby should not care what the peanut gallery thinks.
  16. Why did gibs call a hit and run with rasmus batting with 2 k's on him? lol.
  17. This lind has been looking good for weeks, yet gibbins only plays him every other game....
  18. Janssen, I have a man crush on you lol. Dude is a boss.
  19. Cannot believe Gibbons called a hit and run with rasmus up with 2 k's on him lol. Janssen seems like he has nerves of steel, good win.
  20. ?? How many games have you watched? This is the third time a big error in a big spot he has made, he's been bad in the field and with the bat.
  21. Bad teams self destruct at the worst times, this is the jays, Kawa has done this numerous times this year, get rid of this guy. Pathetic.
  22. This team does not know how to win period, they cannot play solid for an entire 9 innings.
