    Yeah but hitting extra base hits is a lot better with more guys on base, if your best hitter is second you have less chance of driving in said runs.

    Logic is the #2 guys has to MOVE the runner over or take pitches if they want to steal, both scenariops take the bat out of their hands. Doing that with JB is idiotic. #2 moves the runner over the the rbi guys, that's logic. LEarn some.

    This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen, it's pretty easy to understand.................. You want your best run producers with a chance to drive in runs at the beginning of the game, not hitting second. Did you ignore the point about whenh the leadoff guy gets on you want a contact hitter for hit and runs, and to take pitches if a steal is on? Keep ignoring common sense. You take the bat out of your power hitters hand.

    DUH but for those times when the first 2 guys get on yeah, pretty common sense. Again second guy needs to take pitches if lead off guy gets on if a steal is on. Takes the bat out of your power guys hands.

    Umm no did you ignore the part where the second hitter needs to be a contact guy? 3 and 4 to drive guys in? You take the bat out of EE and JB's hands if your lead off guy gets on and they need to take pitches to see if a steal or hit and run is on...... Second hole is for a contact hitter, who takes pitches if leadoff guy gets on.

    Your power hitters hit third and fourth when more guys are on base, thats how its suppose to work. I can think for myself I don't need to google some lineup chart lol. Best contact hitter second, power hitters 3 and 4. It's been that way since the beginning of the 1900's.

    Disagree, neither of those guys should bat second, melky is the best 2 hole hitter but he has struggled this year. If lawrie gets going maybe him second, but not until he gets his head out of his rear. Bautista should be third and EE fourth.

    Your best power hitter should never hit second........... Your best contact hitter should.

    He's been fine this season except one thing............. His lineups are all over the place and often make no sense. Batting JP fourth? Ridiculous. What does this org see in Esmil Rogers? Dude is terrible, and we gave up a decent player to get him ugh.

    Should not need help, you take care of your business so you don't need help. The jays have not done that. The yanks keep winning with a tonne of injuries, they actually have some good depth players.

    Got a LONG way to go, just keep winning series and be .500 around allstar break.

    The yanks keep winning, with Wells, Overbay............Just shows you cannot sue injuries as an excuse, depth wins. We have guys like Derosa on the bench.
