  1. Wasn't too long ago that this guy was considered one of the best young pitching prospects in baseball. It's a shame he hasn't been able to stay healthy and work through some of his issues.
  2. Yeah you would think with the new roster changes to both teams, the past would be completely irrelivent, but I don't think the Jays have won a series in Tropicana since Gibby's first stint with the team, regardless of roster/management changes. Crazy how much this team has underperformed at that one ball park, its almost been a kryptonite to this ball club in many ways. And Price has been uncharacteristically erratic this season, but a talent like him is sure to rebound with some stellar outings sooner than later. Just like Bucholtz, his numbers against our lineup have been downright dominant over the past few seasons, regardless of where the game is being played. We need this series in the worst way. Given our luck with ex-Jays this season however, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see both Kelly Johnson and Yunel Escobar hit .300 this series and go yard twice each.
  3. This team has been horrible playing on the road in Tampa Bay over the last few seasons. The bats came alive yesterday (albiet against less than stellar pitching), do you give the Jays any chance to emulate their success against Moore/Price/Hellickson? We are 1-8-1 in series thus far this year, and we need a series win here in the worst way. Can this team rally 3 out of 4 at Tropicana? At this point I will take a 2-2 split, but if we don't start winning some series' soon, our playoffs hopes are all but shattered (if they haven't been shattered already). Also, poor Ricky. His first start of the season is up King Felix, and on Thursday he goes head to head with David Price. I'm not sure how many series we've lost consecutively in TB (I know the numbers are startling), but we simply cannot afford to drop another series here. Hopefully yesterday's performance can jump start this team in the right direction.
